Halsey Has Apologised After Defending Collab With 'Homophobic' Quavo By Comparing Him To 'Fucking Moron' Iggy Azalea! Gosh!
Halsey may be woke when it comes to LGBT issues, but that doesn't mean everyone she works with has to be!
That's what the singer said in defense of working with Migos' Quavo on her latest album after the rapper made a few homophobic remarks earlier this year.
For those who missed it, the Bad and Bougie performer stirred up controversy back in February when he claimed openly gay rapper iLoveMakonnen couldn't be perceived as "hard" because of his sexuality.

The band's subsequent apology didn't do much to smooth things over with the critics, either.
Now, Halsey — an openly bisexual artist and burgeoning LGBT icon — has been caught in the same line of fire for featuring the rapper on her new single Lie. And her apology was even worse than Quavos'!
In a recent interview with The Guardian, the singer reacted to the controversy by defending Quavo, saying it's not her job to police every artist on being socially conscious. She said:
"I think he's misunderstood. Just because I choose to be a socially conscious artist, and I'm pretty good at it, that doesn't mean every artist is going to be equipped to be politically correct. I don't think he's inherently homophobic, I think he's in a tough place of trying to explain what he means. I agree his apology was bullshit but I can't police everybody."
The singer also tried to ease the Quavo hate by comparing him to Iggy Azalea, a cultural appropriating "fucking moron" who Halsey would NEVER collaborate with! She added:
"[T]here's a lot of people I wouldn't put on my record. Iggy Azalea: absolutely not. She had a complete disregard for black culture. Fucking moron. I watched her career dissolve and it fascinated me."
Whoa, harsh shade coming in from left field!
Needless to say, this response didn't satisfy fans — and angered more for randomly dragging the Fancy rapper — so, Halsey had no choice but to issue another, more apologetic response on Twitter.
OK, girl, take two!
Making it clear she and Quavo are only colleagues and not friends, the pop singer wrote:
Better this time — but still no apology for dragging Iggy!
We smell a clapback coming Halsey's way…
