"You're the reason I continue to jump through windows and breaking my bones", actor Jack Chan says as he receives oscar award[photos]
With more than 200 films under his belt spanning a 56-year career, Chan finally received a gold statuette as one of four recipients of this year's Governors Awards.
Chan's Rush Hour co-star Chris Tucker presented him with the award after Tom Hanks gave a toast and a video was shown that featured testimonials from directors Brett Ratner and Jennifer Yuh Nelson.
"I want to thank all my fans around the world because you're the reason I continue to make movies, jumping through windows, kicking and punching [and] breaking my bones,"
Chan said before receiving a standing ovation.
"Thank you so much!"
Follow honorees included film editor Anne V. Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster and documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman.
