Nelly's girlfriend Shantel Jackson still stood by him inspite of r*pe crisis
The rape claims that have been made against veteran rapper Nelly have been the big story grabbing headlines in the hip-hop community and in the entertainment world in general over the past week. In that time, the details continue to put the "Hot In Herre" emcee under the most unflattering of microscopes, with the victim claiming that he tried to make a move on her while stating that he would refuse to wear a condom during the sex he planned to have with her. Nelly and his attorney have already gone on the offensive, stating that the victim's remarks are not only false, but dangerous and damaging to the rapper's public image as a whole. However, the woman's lawyer, Karen Koehler, is calling their joint rebuttal "morally reprehensible," adding that "it is also criminal -- in the State of Washington -- when those vicious attacks are issued in the form of threats." While it's not exactly clear where the legality of this back-and-forth will go next, Nelly's girlfriend Shantel Jackson has already shown the world that her loyalty still lies with her boo.
Jackson, who formerly dated now-retired boxing champ and 50 Cent photo pal Floyd Mayweather, shared a photo on her Instagram page earlier today, showing her rapper boyfriend cozying up to her while the selfie was being taken. According to TMZ, the pair have been dating for three years, with that long-term bond seemingly unfazed by the recently allegations that have come out against the hip-hop star. She captioned the photo with their signs, Leo and Scorpio, providing no other quote for fans to chew on. You can view the post in full below.
Another supporter of Nelly's, in a way, has been T.I., who shared a video on social media recently warning those watching of the dangers that stem from false rape accusations. "After Mike Tyson," he began in the clip, "after muthaf**kin’ Tupac…after all the other muthaf**kers who done been with girls and the girls got mad for whatever reason and left off and said that they raped them or whatnot…what the f**k ever happened when a muthaf**ker find out that the bitch was lying my n***a? What consequences is there for this young lady?" He also points out that, if these claims are proven to be false, some serious punishment should be doled out to the accuser.
What do you think? Good move by Jackson to stick with Nelly, or no? Let us know what you think below.
