Bodies of occupants of the vehicle that plunged into the Lagos Lagoon recovered, victims are an Air Vice Marshall & his driver
The bodies of the two occupants of the SUV that plunged into the Lagos Lagoon at about 10.30pm last Saturday, October 28th, have been recovered. The victims are a retired Naval officer, Air Vice Marshall Olufunsho Martins and his driver. They were said to be on their way to his home in Parkview estate in Ikoyi when the accident happened. His true identity was revealed through an identity card found inside the vehicle after it was brought out.

Both bodies have been deposited at the Nigerian Airforce hospital in Ikeja. Family sources say the retired Naval officer had returned from the United Kingdom last week Tuesday to attend the burial of a relative.

May their souls rest in peace, Amen.
