                      North Korea Reportedly Launches Missile Over Japan

                         

North Korea has launched its 13th missile this year. The launch took place four days after North Korea fired three ballistic missiles on Saturday. South Korea’s military reports that Tuesday morning’s missile flew over the East China Sea and Japan.

The missile reportedly landed in the ocean. Japan’s chief cabinet secretary, Yoshihide Suga, told Japan’s NHK, “Nothing seemed have dropped on Japanese soil.” The government reportedly warned people in Northern Japan to take cover.

According to Reuters, Japanese Prime Minister released a brief statement, telling reporters, “We will make utmost efforts to firmly protect the lives of the people.”

Col. Rob Manning, director of press operations at the Department of Defense, confirmed the missile launch in a press conference on Monday evening. “We are in the process of assessing this launch,” he said.
