Woww! Nigerian superstar D'Banj turns a football player, plays against former African footballer of the year, Ikpeba

Nigerian music legend D’Banj made a surprise appearance at the Copa Lagos 2016 playing against former African footballer of the year Victor Ikpeba.

Pepsi Football Academy beach team defeated the Enyimba beach soccer team 6 – 5 in the opening match of the day.

The razzmatazz at the Eko Atlantic, venue of the competition, was taken to another level when the music star as well as the 1997 African footballer of the year graced the pitch.

Also on the stands was the governor of Lagos Akinwunmi Ambode who obviously enjoyed the whole encounter.

Team Ikpeba which had an array of ex-internationals including Mutiu Adepoju, Ifeanyi Udeze, Victor Agali, goalkeeper Alloy Agu and former Shooting stars legend Akanni won the tie 2 – 1.

Mutiu Adepoju who leveled up for Nigeria against Spain opened the Scoring against Team D’Banj. Although the music star side leveled up moments later, goalkeeper Alloy Agu sealed the win for Team Ikpeba with a powerful shot from goal.
