Wicked siblings who torture two young boys to se xually assault each other now facing hard times

Two brothers, now aged 17 and 19 years, who tortured two young boys in 2009 when they were just 10 and 11 years old respectively, want their identity to remain secret.

The pair had lured the boys, a 9 and 11 year-old, to an isolated wasteland in Edlington, South Yorkshire, where they tortured them mercilessly for about 90 minutes and forced them to sexually assault each other until one of the boys begged to die.

At the time of the assault, it was one of the worst in history perpetrated by children their age. Because of their age, they were granted anonymity until they reached adulthood.

Now after serving their five years sentence, both brothers are fighting to be granted lifelong anonymity, using Article 3 of the Human Rights Act – which prohibits torture, inhuman or degrading treatment – to support their claim.

                                              

The father of one of the victims expressed his displeasure that the brothers were using this section to support their claim, saying;.  

 "They didn't give a thought to avoiding torture, inhumane or degrading treatment when they did what they did so it's taking the p*** for them to go to court arguing on those lines."
