US singer, Bob Dylan becomes first song writer to bag Nobel Prize award for Literature
His songs include: Blowin' in the Wind and The Times They are A-Changin'. The 75-year-old rock legend received the prize for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition. According to reports, Dylan had been chosen for this award because of his great poetic skills in the English speaking tradition.
For 54 years, he has been at it reinventing himself and constantly creating a new identity for himself. The singer is due to perform later at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas.
