The Anambra state government has seized ongoing construction work at the popular Unizik-ifite road which has being dilapidated for over a decade now.

Work was started on the site two weeks ago, but after the first day of work which was on a Thursday, the workers haven't returned to the site.

They just came around and heaped large stones and granite rocks along the road, and this heaps are even affecting free flow of traffic.

According to popular Unizik writer and former Student union Government Public Relations Officer, Martin Beck Nworah, he had this to say;

''Happening NOW:Welcome to Ifite road UNIZIK. They don't
repair road during the rainy season, but just like the Ugu
scam, publicity can be done for packing stones. You won't
share this, because you see photo-shopped flyovers and think all is well''

In short they have worsened the state of the road
