Rise Of Robots: Sex With Robots May Overtake Human Sex

Sex robots or sexbots are coming soon. They can’t say no to whoever owns them. Sex with robots may overtake human sex by 2050 in a new twist in the “rise of robots”.

Scientists around the world are warning that the attributes of machines could lead to addiction because people may become obsessed by their ever-faithful, ever-pleasing sex robot lovers, they have said. Scientists also think that robotic sex might become better than human sex.


But not everyone agrees that sexbots are a positive development.

Speaking at the Human Choice and Computers Conference which started on September 7 in Britain, Kathleen Richardson of De Montfort University said the biggest problem was the idea that complex human needs could be met by inanimate objects.

Sex therapist Gurpreet Singh said it was not for people to judge others who want to have sex with robots – and it could even be healthy for people’s sex lives.

“Let people enjoy sex robots – they will work in the same way couples introduce a toy into a sexual relationship. And if both parties agree, I see nothing wrong,” said Singh.

But Singh warned against entirely replacing or cutting out human relationships for sex cyborgs out of fear of intimacy or desire for isolation. Addiction should then be addressed.
