POKEMON GO: MAN ARRESTED AFTER CROSSING BORDER IN ATTEMPT TO CATCH RARE POKEMON

North Korean authorities, who accuse the man of being a South Korean spy, have proceeded to his arrest yesterday in a highly mediatised fashion.
“This was clearly an attempt to infiltrate the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and an illegal violation of our borders,” explained North Korean authorities this morning.

Technically speaking, the game is not available yet in South Korea, explains technology expert James Mi-jun.
“The city of Sokcho is the only area in South Korea you can play the augmented reality game that has swept the world, largely thanks to a technical loophole,” he admits.
“This northeastern tip of South Korea lies just outside the index grids the game’s developers use to geographically block the country,” he adds.
“The city of Sokcho lies only a few miles away from the DMZ or demilitarized zone which splits North and South Korea, so you can bet there will other similar incidents,” he firmly believes.
South Korean authorities have decried the “diplomatic incident”, warning local residents and visitors to be “extremely careful” around the area as thousands of South Koreans are making the pilgrimage every day to play the popular game.
