52-year old architect dies instantly after falling from 42nd floor of a sky scrapper

 52-year-old man died Thursday afternoon after falling from a Midtown skyscraper, officials said.

The victim, identified by one source as an architect working on the building, fell to the ground from the 42nd floor of the 46-floor skyscraper near W. 53rd St. and Sixth Ave. about 2:15 p.m.

The New Jersey resident landed between two buildings between W. 52nd and W. 53rd Sts., police sources said. He died at the scene.

The man’s name was not immediately released.
