Rio 2016 Olympics: Umar joins Nigeria’s team in Brazil

Aminu Umar has now joined the Nigeria U-23 team in Manaus, ahead of Sunday’s match against Sweden.
The forward was unavailable for the Dream Team VI’s training tour in the USA, due to club commitments.

His arrival has been confirmed by media officer of the team, Timi Ebikagboro.
He tweeted: “And Aminu Umar joins the rest of the squad in Manaus, we are now a very full house, let’s go.
“Umar arrived the Dream Team’s Tropical Hotel camp at about 11.34pm local time to the warm embrace of coach Siasia and team sec Sirajo.”
The Dream Team VI beat Japan 5-4 in their opening game and Umar will be hoping to help the squad to victory against Sweden.
